Our medium-term vision is to establish the total mechanization of harvesting fruit sector with robot. We start from the premise that it is easier to adapt the form of trees to machines than adapt machines to trees.?
For this reason, we are committed to international technologies of the future.
We are currently developing the R & D CDTI IDI-20150008; Wall fruit production with controlled costs, co-financed by the ERDF. This strategy is based on fruit production wall with costs reduced and controlled by specific machining solutions pruning and thinning.
These techniques have allowed us to confirm the good adaptation of the varieties planted in double axis and the efficiency of mechanized cutting operations: summer pruning, winter pruning and thinning flower.
Who knows what the next decade will bring? Everything points to a harvesting machine; robots that, thanks to infrared, neck and records the information of the apples. We leave two links of two prototypes currently being worked on. The first is from Israel and the second from California.
